Each month's dispatch includes a single fine art photograph, selected from my archive and printed exclusively for that dispatch. The print is 5×7 inches, produced on Somerset Velvet Fine Art Paper — a museum-grade, acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper favoured by galleries and collectors for its exceptional tonal depth and archival stability.
Every print is hand-signed by me on the front and numbered on the reverse (for example, 12/50). Each dispatch is limited to fifty editions. That is not a marketing phrase — once fifty prints are signed and shipped, the edition is permanently closed. This specific photograph, at this size, on this paper, will not be offered again. Ever. What subscribers receive is genuinely irreplaceable.
Each print also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity documenting the edition number, paper stock, print date, and my signature — included in the envelope.

Somerset Velvet Fine Art Paper — a 100% cotton rag, acid-free archival paper with a soft velvet surface. It is one of the most respected fine art printing papers in the world, used by photographers and printmakers whose work ends up in museum collections. It renders photographic tones with exceptional warmth and depth, and will not yellow or degrade over time when stored or framed properly.
It is not a compromise paper. It is the paper I would choose for work I want to last.
-
Yes to both. Every print is hand-signed — not stamped, not printed — by me. The edition number is written on the reverse.
A Certificate of Authenticity is included with every dispatch. It records the title of the work, the edition number, the paper and print specifications, the dispatch date, and my signature. It is printed on quality card stock and meant to be kept alongside the print, or stored together in an archive. If you ever frame or sell the work, the certificate travels with it.
-
Absolutely — the prints are made to be framed. A standard 5×7 frame works perfectly and is available at virtually any home goods or art supply store. If you prefer a mat border (which gives the print more breathing room and a gallery feel), look for an 8×10 frame with a 5×7 mat opening — a very common combination.
Somerset Velvet Paper is thick and robust and will not buckle or warp behind glass. For best long-term preservation, choose a frame with UV-protective glass or acrylic, and hang away from direct sunlight.
-
Each wax-sealed envelope contains:
— A signed, numbered 5×7 fine art print on Somerset Velvet Paper
— A Certificate of Authenticity
— A handwritten note featuring the story behind the art and some other analog notes
— A small analog companion piece — a bookmark, a poem on card stock, a strip of washi tape, or something else chosen to belong alongside the print. This varies each month.
The companion piece changes with the season and the image. What stays constant is the care with which everything is assembled.

Dispatches ship during the first week of each month. If you subscribe before the current month's edition has shipped and copies remain, you will receive that month's dispatch. If the current edition has already shipped or closed, your subscription begins with the following month's dispatch.
You will receive a shipping notification by email when your envelope is on its way.
-
Yes, always. There are no penalties, no cancellation fees, and no awkward retention process. You can cancel at any time through your subscriber account portal in under a minute.
If you cancel before your next billing date, you will not be charged again. Any dispatch already paid for will still ship to you. Annual subscribers are billed once for the full year and receive all twelve dispatches regardless of when they cancel — the subscription simply does not renew at the end of the year.
I would rather you subscribe for three months and love it than feel trapped in something that no longer fits. This should always feel like a gift, not a commitment.
-
Yes. If you need to skip a month — travelling, moving, or simply not ready to receive mail — you can pause your subscription from your account portal before the billing date and resume when you are ready. Pausing skips the charge and the dispatch for that month.
Note that paused months are not recoverable — if you skip March, the March edition is not held for you. Each edition ships once and closes. This is part of what makes each dispatch genuinely limited.
-
No. Each dispatch is a closed edition — fifty prints, signed and shipped, and then that edition is finished. Past dispatches are not available for individual sale, and I will not reprint them at this size on this paper. The archive page shows every past edition as a record, but they are not available to buy.
This is intentional. Subscribers receive something that cannot be obtained any other way. The only path to a complete collection is to subscribe and stay subscribed.
-
Each dispatch ships in a rigid, stay-flat cardboard-backed mailer — the kind that prevents bending regardless of how it is handled in transit. The print itself is placed in a protective sleeve before being set into the envelope. The outer envelope is also stamped "Do Not Bend."
In short: every reasonable precaution is taken. The print should arrive exactly as it left.
-
This is taken seriously. For every dispatch, I produce five additional artist proofs beyond the edition of fifty — held in reserve specifically to replace any prints damaged in transit.
If your print arrives bent, creased, or otherwise damaged, please photograph it and contact me within 7 days of delivery. I will send a replacement from the reserve proofs at no cost to you. The replacement will carry the same edition number as your original and will be accompanied by an updated Certificate of Authenticity.
Please keep the damaged print rather than discarding it until the replacement arrives — I may ask to see the damage to improve future packaging if a pattern emerges.
-
Yes — you can update your address at any time through your subscriber account portal. Please make any address changes before the first of the month to ensure your update takes effect before that month's dispatch ships. Address changes made after shipping has begun for the month will apply from the following dispatch onward.
If you are moving and unsure of timing, feel free to get in touch directly and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Your address and personal information are used for one purpose only: getting your dispatch to you. That is it.
Your information is never sold, shared, rented, or traded with any third party, advertiser, or mailing list. It is not used for any purpose beyond fulfilling your subscription. I find the idea of doing otherwise completely contrary to the spirit of what this is — you trusted me with your home address so I could send you something personal and considered. That trust is not something I would compromise.
Payment information is processed securely through Stripe and is never stored on this site. Full details are available in the privacy policy. [link]

Yes — and it makes a genuinely unique gift. Gift subscriptions are available in three, six, and twelve-month options. After purchase, you receive a printable gift card to present to the recipient. Their first dispatch ships within the current month's cycle.
